Scooter's Purple Striders

Raised: $5,935

Goal: $5,000

Welcome to our team fundraising page!

Scott aka 'Scooter' was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in August of 2016 at the age of 49.  He went through so much including; Whipple Surgery, Gemzar/Abraxane chemotherapy, 5-FU chemotherapy, multiple clinical trials, radiation and more.  Despite it all, he always kept a positive attitude and had a smile on his face!  Sadly, Scott passed away on April 12, 2019.  He was so greatly loved and is missed more than words can say.

Scott wanted us to continue to raise money to try and find a cure for this horrible disease! I am so thankful for the many family, friends, and co-workers for all of their support!  We raised over $20,000 last year - I know Scott was smiling down from heaven on all of us!!

This year, to keep everyone safe, the event is going virtual!  So, instead of signing up as a team member, I am asking people to donate directly to our team name 'Scooter's Purple Striders'.

Keep this event on your radar for next year - if this dang COVID-19 goes away,  the in-person event will be held in Saint Paul at Harriet Island!

Purple ribbons aren’t enough. Please join us in the fight today.
