Striding On for Grampy

Wage Hope to end pancreatic cancer

In 2018, Larry showed up at Purple Stride to watch my sister Lauren and I cross the finish line. We participated in the PanCan Walk to support of Our Dad & the fight against pancreatic cancer that he had just begun. The walk was the morning following his very first chemo treatment. He still managed to show up and greet us with his loving and larger than life smile as we completed the race. If you knew Larry, this should come as no surprise.

However, his short fight had just started; it would devastatingly end nearly 3 months later on July 30, 2018.

This year, on April 18, 2020, we will honor Larry's Memory and continue his fight of this incurable & calamitous disease as we "Stride on for Grampy." We do it because we saw first hand how this disease ravages an otherwise healthy and active man overnight, and steals decades from a life that was far from the finish line. We do it so that others will not fall victim to Pancreatric Cancer the way that Our Dad did.

He will no longer be at the race to greet us and his grandchildren who will walk this year. We assuredly know that we will be able to feel his presence all around us as we walk, and continue his fight towards a cure for this most-deadly cancer. We will always Stide on for Grampy.

We ask that YOU walk alongside us to help accomplish this goal at the 2020 PanCan Walk.

A small donation of $35 or $30 (registration fee) goes a very long way. Even if you are unable to join us for the walk, you can still register and donate as a "virtual walker" and charitably contribute $30 towards our Team Goal. * If you decide to go this route, please send a {optional} 15 second video about WHY you continue to support Larry to

Each dollar raised for Team Striding on for Grampy will go directly to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, where donations lead us closer to preventative testing, life-saving treatments, and ultimately turning HOPE into CURE.

By donating to Team Striding on for Grampy, you are supporting vital efforts to double pancreatic cancer survival by 2021 and remembering Larry "Grampy" Steffann: your friend, colleague, brother, uncle, and mentor. Each one of you helps to fight the fight that he lost too soon.
