Wage Hope at PurpleStride. The walk to end pancreatic cancer.
Wage Hope to end pancreatic cancer
Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 10%. This deadly disease has stolen our best and our brightest, but it can’t take away the determination of the amazing group of women on team Alicja’s Avengers – FFGB.
Our team is called Alicja’s Avengers because this year we are walking to honor and celebrate the life of Alicja M. Rudnicka, MD - a beautiful person lost this past January to pancreatic cancer. The FFGB stands for Forever Friends Giving Back … all close friends (some for 35+ years) who now live in different cities, states and even a different country! Together we talked about how blessed and fortunate we each are, and so wanted to give back to our communities by volunteering in different ways – raising awareness and funds for PanCan is one of those ways.
In addition to our amazing friendship, we unfortunately also share an unusual bond – one we never expected when we first met so many years ago.Six of the ten of us have since lost a close family member to this horrific disease.
We’re stepping up toWage Hopein Raleigh at PurpleStride, one of the many walks around the country bringing awareness and raising funds to end pancreatic cancer. Will you please help us rewrite the future of this disease by making a donation to our team today?
Every dollar you give ensures the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to improve outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients like Alicja, who only had six months.
Purple ribbons don’t rewrite the future of pancreatic cancer. You do!Please join us in honoringAlicja, Alice, ArtandHelen, who unfortunately did not win their battles … let’s pray together for those who are still fighting.
Every dollar counts. With broken but determined hearts, we thank you for your generosity …
