We are walking in memory of our mom Barbara Speck. She lost her battle against Pancreatic Cancer in December of 2016 and she is very missed by all who knew her. We are also remembering our mom's friend Lorraine this year, who recently passed away from breast cancer. We take some comfort knowing they have each other. Like so many others suffering from this disease they were much too young and had too little time.
Our goal in fundraising is to increase awareness and funding for research to make strides against this disease, so someone else's mom has more options and more time. We hope you can join our team and really appreciate the support.
The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network raises awareness of the disease, advocates for funding and research, and helps patients and families navigate through the diagnosis. They provide them with free information, resources, and connect them with a community. Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 9%.
