Wage Hope at PurpleStride. The walk to end pancreatic cancer.
Wage Hope to end pancreatic cancer
Amidst the panic and uncharted territory of COVID-19, my brother, Aaron, found himself driving to the hospital for what he thought was dehydration. After a night full of revolving doctors, scans and bloodwork, he was diagnosed with Stage 1 Pancreatic Cancer. The doctors believe we caught it early, as it has not spread to other organs. We have an optimistic outlook that Aaron can beat this disease and make a full recovery.
My brother has always been my biggest supporter. He consistently reaches out to check on me and he’s always eager to do whatever it takes to ensure I‘m doing well. We share a fervent passion for college football. Although we support opposing teams, we enjoy nonstop banter of who’s team is better. Now it is my turn to support him. I’ve pledged to raise $5k with PurpleStride for pancreatic cancer research. I created a team named “We are Aaron LaF”, a nod to Aaron’s passion for Penn State football. Let’s come together to rewrite the future of this disease. Thank you for your support.
