Welcome to our team fundraising page!

WOW!  It has been 10 years since we we showed up at Ann Morrison Park, in the dark, uncertain if there would be anyone there besides the few volunteers we had been working with. That morning as people exited their cars to help me unload the truck, using our headlights to help us see, I had to step away and cry because I knew that we had just embarked on something really special.

John was the reason for our being there that day and though he continues to be a big part of this event for me, I have come to love and appreciate so many others who have joined our Purple Family.

We started this journey when the 5-year survival rate was just 5%. We recently reached double digits so that today's survivor has a 5-year survival rate of 10%.  That is due to the amazing research and education that has been done over the past 10 years. And that doesn't happen without you and your gifts of time, ideas, and financial support.

We had hoped to have a really large in-person gathering this year but that is not possible. What is possible is to have an even larger team join us to celebrate this milestone from all over the country. Please join our team and help us to raise awareness and funds for pancreatic cancer. This year's event is VIRTUAL and FREE! so there is no reason that you can't participate. I look forward to seeing your name listed as a PurpleCure team member!
