Raised: $95

Goal: $10,000

Welcome to our team fundraising page!

Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 10%. This deadly disease has stolen our best and our brightest, but it can’t take away our determination.

Our team has stepped up to Wage Hope at PurpleStride, the walk to end pancreatic cancer. Will you help us rewrite the future of this disease by making a donation today?

Every dollar that you donate ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to create better outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. By donating to our team, you are supporting vital efforts to double pancreatic cancer survival by 2020.

Purple ribbons aren’t enough. Please join us in the fight today.

***Heidi was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer on July 18, 2018 which metastasized to her liver.  She started chemo immediately.  To date, she has had 2 different types of chemo treatments.  The latter worked, until it didn't.  Heidi has participated in a closed trial since November 2020 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.  There have been up's and down's in her response to the trial.  Most recently her tumor is responding to the trial and her tumor is currently stable.  We hope it continues to shrink as it did with her last chemo until the tumor stopped responding.  Her weekly treatment is a immunotherapy rather than chemo.  It is easier on her body, though she is wiped out after each treatment.  On the plus side, her hair, eye lashes and eyebrows have grown back in.  To her dismay, she has a vibrant head of white hair.  She is alive though, and will accept what her body gives her.

Please consider joining us on:

HARRIET ISLAND, St. PAul Minnesota

If you are not able to walk with us, consider making a donation on Heidi's behalf.
