Welcome to our team fundraising page!

Lynn Glancy, daughter of Shirley Kibbe and Raymond Downey, lover of birds, gardens, and her granddaughters, passed away on June 17, 2021 at the age of 68—after an evening surrounded by her loved ones and following a brief but courageous fight against pancreatic cancer.

Born in 1953 in Stafford Springs, CT, Lynn grew up with her four brothers on South Road in Hampden, MA. A graduate of Minnechaug Regional High School, Lynn attended Framingham State University and graduated with a B.S. in Medical Technology—the first in her family to receive a college degree. She then worked at Worcester City Hospital and Fairlawn Hospital, and also earned a designation as a certified clinical pathologist.

In 1978, while in Worcester, MA, she met her husband of 40 years, Kevin P. Glancy, and they married in 1980. Through the years together, they raised two children, Myles and Kerri, and lived in Worcester, Savannah, GA, and Richmond, VA. She spent the last year of her life in Clover, SC, close to her granddaughters.

She lives on through her husband Kevin; her mother Shirley; brothers Raymond, Richard, Jeffrey, and Kevin and their spouses; her two children, Myles Glancy and his husband, Christopher Filice, and Kerri Nutter and her husband, Hutch Nutter; and her two grandchildren, Kenly and Caroline.

Each year, tens of thousands of people die from this horrific disease that all too often rips our most precious loved ones from our arms—sometimes, like with Lynn, in seemingly a blink of an eye. To honor Lynn and to provide support for those patients who are continuing to fight for their lives, we have revitalized our PurpleStride team from last year, as we continue our walk toward ending pancreatic cancer. We’re going to help make progress, with your support.

PanCAN’s PurpleStride is a year-round national movement that funds life-changing programs and services for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. Every dollar you give means more patients can benefit from PanCAN's free, one-on-one support, personalized information, service, and resources that can make a real difference in their lives. Through Mom's brave fight, PanCAN provided our family not only with valuable tools and resources to better inform our steps ahead but also with a beaming support network of those who have lived through this heartbreaking journey. The tireless, warmhearted work that PanCAN is doing is truly life-changing, and we are proud to honor Lynn's legacy through supporting such a meaningful cause.

In honor and remembrance of Lynn, please join our team as a participant, or make a gift of any size to get us one step closer to our fundraising goal and improving more patients’ lives. You can donate to a team member or make a general donation to the team.

Patients and families need us now more than ever. Thank you for your support.
