Early Detectors

Early Detectors

Raised: $5,451

Goal: $7,500

Welcome to our team fundraising page!

Hi Everyone,

First of all I want to thank all of you  that donated and or participated in the walk/run last year while I was in the hospital. Well this year I plan to be leading our team in this walk thanks to your thoughts and prayers as well as some good luck and great doctors. As you know pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 9%.

I can honestly say that a day does not go by without me thinking of how lucky I am, and how my heart pours out for those that have this horrible disease.

So this year I am once again asking any and all that can, to donate and or walk with me, my family and friends to raise as much as we can to do our part in helping find a cure. As many of you know, the detection of my pancreatic cancer was a fluke and I am eternally grateful for what prompted me to have a CT Scan. That said, most people do not find out they have it until it is too late. My success has been due to the "early detection" hence the team name. We need to find economical ways to help people be able to afford an "early detection" method. So once again, please help by donating or joining us on September 29 for the pancreatic walk in Cincinnati.

Every dollar that you donate ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to create better outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. By donating to our team, you are supporting vital efforts to double pancreatic cancer survival by 2020.
