Welcome to our team fundraising page!

Dear Family and Friends,

On July 22, 2016 our mother was officially diagnosed with stage four metastatic pancreatic cancer, a frightening diagnosis with limited treatment options. Despite her diagnosis, she had faith and fought hard; we pursued the best holistic and medical treatments but within two months she lost her battle. She was an amazing and loving Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, and Friend. Sadly, my mom's story is typical of most people who have been diagnosed with this disease - known as the "The Silent Killer."

  • Pancreatic cancer is one of the fastest spreading cancers and one of the deadliest with only a 9% survival rate in patients five years after the diagnosis.
  • The disease is the 3rd leading cause of cancer related death.

  • Challenges: Pancreatic cancer is often difficult to diagnose. This is because there are no validated, specific screening tests that can easily and reliably find early-stage pancreatic cancer in people who have no symptoms. This means it is often not found until later stages when the cancer can no longer be removed with surgery and/or has spread from the pancreas to other parts of the body.

  • Pancreatic cancer has the highest mortality rate of all major cancers.

Pancreatic cancer research is severely underfunded and it is up to us to raise awareness and funding to advance research and find a cure. If you feel inspired - a donation of any amount, no matter the size, is greatly appreciated. Your gift would mean so much to our family and even more to others who we hope will not lose their loved ones too early.

Thank you for your Love and Support!

Judith, Sherry and Peter
