Pancreatic cancer does not stop or slow down, and neither do we!
We’re going to help make progress, with your support.
Our team is participating in PanCAN’s PurpleStride, a year-round national movement that funds lifechanging programs and services for pancreatic cancer patients and their families.
Our team is walking in remembrance of two family members: Russell Putnam and Katherine Choquette. They were both taken from us way too soon because of this terrible disease. We also walk to celebrate those who have survived pancreatic cancer, and to show those who are fighting that they do not fight alone.
We are named 'Hello Gorgeous' because it is something my grandfather, Russell Putnam, used to always say when he greeted someone. It didn't matter if it was a friend, family member, or a delivery driver at the door. 'Hello Gorgeous' has since become a very important phrase in my family! We are honored to have this team named after such a great man! He not only fought pancreatic cancer for as long as he could, he fought for our country in the Korean War. He suffered three gunshot wounds to the head, and earned three purple hearts for his bravery.
2022 was the first year that Team Hello Gorgeous walked in PurpleStride. This year, it is our goal to raise enough money to be part of the top 10 teams!
Every dollar you give means more patients can benefit from PanCAN’s free, one-on-one support, personalized information, service and resources that can make a real difference in their lives.
Please join our team as a participant, or make a gift of any size to get us one step closer to our fundraising goal and improving more patients’ lives. You can donate to a team member or make a general donation to the team.
Patients and families need us now more than ever.
Thank you for your support.
