Pancreatic cancer does not stop or slow down, and neither do we!
We’re going to help make progress, with your support.
My team is participating in PanCAN’s PurpleStride, a year-round national movement that funds lifechanging programs and services for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. I volunteered for my first PurpleStride Boston in 2011 after my sister lost her best friend to pancreatic cancer in 2010. This year my PurpleStride fundraising is in memory of dear friends Sandy, Beverly and Ginni.
Between November 2020 and July 2022, United Church in Walpole lost three vibrant, talented and beloved women in our church family to pancreatic cancer. Ginni was a tiny powerhouse who contributed in many ways, most notably by bringing digital technology to the church starting in the 1990’s. Beverly was a talented baker and crafter who never missed an opportunity to bake or to work with a group on craft projects for the annual church holiday fair. Sandy’s smile and spirit filled every space she entered whether to address racial justice or immigration issues, or to knit, or to play softball, or to study the Bible. It is a privilege to honor each of these beautiful souls we lost too soon by raising funds to support those with pancreatic cancer, those who love them, those who provide their care and those who conduct the needed research. Your donation is appreciated.
Every dollar you give means that more patients can benefit from PanCAN’s free, one-on-one support, personalized information, service and resources that can make a real difference in their lives.
Please make a gift of any size to get us one step closer to our fundraising goal and improving more patients’ lives. You can donate to a team member or make a general donation to the team.
Patients and families need us now more than ever.
Thank you for your support....Barbara
