We lost my beautiful mom to pancreatic cancer in early November 2022. Our family and friends miss her every day. We are all forever changed by her strong spirit, contagious smile and can-do attitude. 

When she was diagnosed, late last December, we knew nothing about this disease. Over the last year, it’s become our whole life. PanCAN was a huge help in educating our family. They even facilitated getting her tumor tested, which ultimately allowed us to join a clinical trial at UCI. My mom was an absolute warrior. My husband and I call her Wonder Woman, and any one who knew her can attest that that is who she is — an absolute superhero. 

Our team is participating in PanCAN’s PurpleStride, a year-round national movement taking place on April 29, 2023, that funds life-changing programs and services for pancreatic cancer patients and their families.
