Dear Family and Friends,

My team and I are taking steps to end pancreatic cancer at PanCAN PurpleStride on Saturday, April 29, 2023.

We want to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and we need your help to do that!  As most of you know, my brother, Carl, died from pancreatic cancer ten years ago.  Also, as you know, Kathleen, my bride of nearly 52 years was recently diagnosed.  She has completed the first of six chemo sessions that will take place every other week until the end of June.  If the chemotherapy is successful, she will undergo surgery to remove the tumor on her pancreas.  We are fortunate that her cancer was diagnosed early and has not metastasized to any other organs.  Her prognosis is good.   

PanCAN PurpleStride is the number one way PanCAN raises money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients, and gives them free, personalized one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services.  Since Carl died ten years ago, there have been dramatic improvements in pancreatic cancer diagnosis and treatment.  Kathleen is benefitting from those improvements.
