Lost our wonderful mother Lin Fain in 2002 to pancreatic cancer.  Approximately 51,000 Americans are expected to die from the disease this year.
Just back from visiting her grave.


Some people leave a stone when visiting a grave (here Lin Fain would say to cite source, but this site won’t let me.  Look up “visitation stones” in Wikipedia)


When I come upon the stones, it comforts me to know someone else is also remembering her, and missing her.  Note: especially appropriate for her— you can see a Black Sharpie.  Although a red felt too would be even better.

The American Cancer Society reports that the five-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer is now 12%, an increase of one percentage point from last year (footnote number 2, Mom.  Look up ACS Cancer Facts and Figures 2023)

I like to think our Team Lin donations last year helped things along.
