Hey, there!

In honor of my late mother Christina Marchissio we will be taking steps to end pancreatic cancer at PanCAN Purplestrides, Saturday April 29, 2023.

My mom was a fighter her whole life and she wasn’t going to face a cancer diagnosis without giving it her all. Receiving this diagnosis was hard, but during a pandemic it posed another set of hurdles. She went through months of chemo and radiation alone, while working full time. Only after much persuasion from my brother and I did she finally stop to heal. She endured countless complications, ER visits, and doctors appointments. She never complained, she never asked "why me?" My mom stayed positive and smiled through the worst days. She kept her nurses, doctors and family laughing with her amazing sense of humor. Christina taught us increíble patience, strength, and acceptance.

We walk in honor of her, so we can have a future where no person faces these daunting statistics, enormous pain and suffering. So no family has to say goodbye this way.

PanCAN PurpleStride is the number one way PanCAN raises money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients, and gives them free, personalized one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services.
