Welcome to our team fundraising page!

After meeting Patrick Swayze (his friends all called him Buddy) at the Academy Awards I realized just how important the Dirty Dancing film had changed both of our lives. I knew that moment we’d be connected for life.

So, when Patrick passed away from this horrific disease, along with my close friend and publicist, Randy Alexander, I knew I had to jump in with both feet and try to help.

After doing some research, I found out where Lisa Swayze was dedicating her time to help fight this disease, I decide to place a cold call to PANCAN. Low and behold the person who answer that call was Pamela Acosta Marquardt. I immediately heard in her voice the passion I knew immediately two things, 1, I found the right person to help me help others. and 2, It was the start of a new and long-lasting friendship.

That’s when the idea to sell the music“(I’ve had) The time of my life” and “Hungry Eyes” that Baby and John actually danced to was created.

I always like to believe that if everyone in the world could just give a dollar, we could beat Pancreatic Cancer once and for all.

Give what you can – donate to my team and/or join my team and help me change history for pancreatic cancer.

Thanks,

Franke Previte

P.S.  And to all you Dirty Dancing fans out there who would like to own a piece of DD history and give back in memory to my friend Buddy, just go to “Dirty Dancing Demos” on Facebook or Amazon.
