As many of you know on June 25th, 2018, I was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. To date I am 4 years 2 months NED (No Evidence of Disease). I could not have gotten here without the help of my beautiful wife who has been my "Rock", Family, Friends and the wonderful staff at Johns Hopkins especially my Surgeon Dr. Richard Burkhart.
My team (Pings Things) and I are taking steps to end pancreatic cancer at PanCAN PurpleStride on Saturday, April 29, 2023.
We want to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and we need your help to do that!
Here’s where you come in! Most of you know I am a helper and do not like asking for help. Today I am asking for your help. We’ve set an ambitious fundraising goal – because the more money we raise, the bigger impact we make – and would appreciate a gift of any size to help us get there. As little as the $5 you spend on that cup of coffee could be the gift that helps find the cure. Thanks to my Beautiful wife Phyllis who got this out there ahead of me we are well under way to reaching the team goal that I have set.
PanCAN PurpleStride is for everyone, and we’d love for you to join our team! Just click the Register button at the top of this page and follow a few easy steps to get set up. If you want to join our team in person please let me know after registering. We are having personalized shirts made up for our team with the team's name "Pings Things" and the number of your choice. All we ask is for you to make a donation to the team. Get in early to get the number you want before its gone. Not everyone will be walking so we would love to have you come out and still support the team.
PanCAN PurpleStride is the number one way PanCAN raises money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients, and gives them free, personalized one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services.
And anyone who registers and raises $50 will also receive an official PanCAN PurpleStride 2023 T-shirt!
Can we count on you to get us one step closer to the day where pancreatic cancer patients don’t just survive but thrive?
Patients and families need us now more than ever.
Thank you for your support and taking the time to read till the end!
