Pancreatic cancer does not stop or slow down, and neither do we! 

Before our first PurpleStirde in 2017, I remember sitting next to my mom trying to think of a name of this team. We ultimately landed on Reneata's Farm Heroes because she loved playing Farm Hero Saga while she was going through chemo, recovering surgery, sitting in the doctor's waiting room, or just up at 3AM because she had a pass for unlimited lives. It's hard to believe that was 6 years ago. 

During the first PurpleStride ceremony I attended, they brought the survivors on stage and had them say how long they had been a survivor. Some ranged from a few months to a few years, but one woman said she was a 17-year survivor. When I heard her say that, I was so inspired and it brought so much hope to my heart, to know that this was possible. I knew I wanted my mom to be on stage encouraging future survivors. That was 5 years ago! That's 5 years of progress and hope. That's 5 years of my mom being living proof that research makes a difference. That's 5 years of support from our family and friends! Thank you all for the continuous support and love you have shown! We're happy to pay this forward to those who are currently battling pancreatic cancer and those who do not know this is a battle they will face.
