Today would have been his 78th birthday.  My beloved and adored dad proudly wore the Survivor shirt in October, 2019 when we walked together to raise money and awareness for Pancreatic Cancer.  It was such an uplifting day and a highlight of his cancer journey.  I know he will be there with us as we walk once more, in honor of him and all of those who have gone before and all who are currently fighting.  

I created a team called PurplePower.  I chose this name because there is power in so many things.....power in the journey.....power in the fight...power in the love that surrounds us...power in faith and believing...power in positivity and power in knowing when it is time to let go. My dad was a beast, a fighter and a man of great power.  To know him was to love him and to be captivated by his presence.  He was kind beyond words, courageous beyond measure and gracious until the very end.  To say he is missed is an understatement, as I still have trouble navigating this world without him by my side.  I will walk on April 29th because that is what he would tell me to do...to live my life to the very fullest and with compassion, grit and grace. I know my hero, my heart and my dad will be by my side.
