Welcome to Team John's Angels!

Team John's Angels will be taking steps to end pancreatic cancer at the PanCAN PurpleStride on Saturday, April 29th, 2023 in honor of my dad, John Burns. 

My dad was the definition of kindness and compassion. He made a positive impact on every person he met whether it was with a silly dad joke, a drop of wisdom, or a gentle smile. Lovingly referred to as "turtle dad", he had a quiet presence, but a big heart. 

My dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in April 2014 and after 3 months of fighting we lost him at the end of July 2014. Through his fight, he showed incredible strength as he adopted the mantra of "God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers". Team John's Angels with embody this mindset as we walk to end pancreatic cancer for our 9th consecutive year. .
