Bill Grier was the best friend, dad, coach, and overall person. He was someone who you could count on to make you laugh, to make you feel better, even if you had just met him moments ago. He loved to enjoy and experience life with other people - his family, friends, the players he coached, coworkers, etc. Ask anyone who knew him - he had a unique spark about him that was infectious, and made you want to love life and approach each day with the same attitude he did. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in the fall of 2014. He continued to spend time with his family, coach his daughter’s softball team, work, cook dinners, hangout with friends, and live his life as best he could all while receiving treatment. In the fall of 2016 he passed away, surrounded by his family. Those who had the absolute honor of knowing him carry around a little bit of that spark and love for life that he had. Please consider donating to PanCAN in honor of Bill G, and help to find a cure for all those who are fighting this disease, or consider joining our team on April 29 at PurpleStride in Philadelphia.
