Our team is participating in the PanCAN PurpleStride on Saturday, April 29, 2023 to honor the life of our beloved friend, colleague, and favorite comedian, John Schachter, who passed away in November 2022 after a recurrence of pancreatic cancer. John was the heart and soul of our communications team at the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, but more importantly a friend to us all. John loved comedy, the Mets, theatre, books, and most of all, his wife Lori and son Sam. He was brilliant, hilarious, and kind. We miss him every day.

While laughter is indeed great medicine - and there was never a shortage of laughter if you were part of John's world - we hope for a brighter future with new and better treatment options. Donating to our PanCAN PurpleStride team will help fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients, and gives them free, personalized one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services.
