Steve Wingert a former member of our ALA Gateway Chapter, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer. Steve had more than 22 years of legal industry experience, including as the President of the Association of Legal Administrators, and we were fortunate to work alongside him for one of those years here at the Gateway Chapter. Steve and his husband Mark Bridgeman fought this difficult battle together. As depicted by ALA, they exhibited strength and courage throughout and had many family members (including Steve’s and Mark’s kids and grandkids), friends, and ALA cohorts fighting alongside them. As a tribute to Steve, we encourage our ALA Gateway members, Business Partners, and the Legal Community, to sign up, and walk together to end pancreatic cancer.
Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 10%. This deadly disease has stolen our best and our brightest, but it can’t take away our determination.
ALA Gateway has stepped up to Wage Hope at Purple Stride, the walk to end pancreatic cancer. Will you help ALA Gateway rewrite the future of this disease and join our team?
Every participant ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to improve outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. By donating today, or joining our team, you are supporting vital efforts to double pancreatic cancer survival by 2024.
Purple ribbons aren’t enough. Please join ALA Gateway in the fight today.
