Welcome to our team fundraising page!

Dashing for Dave is a team honoring Dave Tryon, a husband, father, Popi, son, brother and friend who lost his life to pancreatic cancer on May 7, 2018.

Dave was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer on November 1, 2016 and was given just 6 months to live. By the Grace of God, an incredible team at UAB, and the amazing care and love from his family, Dave surpassed this expectancy and was able to walk his youngest daughter down the aisle, spend precious time with his wife, children and grandsons, and truly soak up every moment of life here on earth.

Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 13%. This deadly disease has stolen our best and our brightest, but it can’t take away our determination.

Our team has stepped up to Wage Hope at PurpleStride, the walk to end pancreatic cancer. Will you help us rewrite the future of this disease by making a donation today?

Every dollar that you donate ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to create better outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. By donating to our team, you are supporting vital efforts to double pancreatic cancer survival.

Purple ribbons aren’t enough. We do not want to see another family suffer through this life-altering disease. Please join us in the fight today.
