Welcome to our team fundraising page!

My family lost its matriarch, Martina, to pancreatic cancer in 2017. 

We named our team Martina's Heart for two reasons: 

1 - Everyone who knew her, knew that her big and open heart was what made her so special to so many people. She was loving, caring, and SELFLESS. 

2- Abuela Martina loved her three kids, 2 grandkids, 2 great-grandkids and all her family with all her being. We are a continuation of her heart. 

In our abuela's giving spirit, we want to give back to other families affected by this horrendous disease. We hope to give them the chance of survival that we didn't have by raising money toward early detection, clinical trials, and hopefully a cure one day. 

Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 13%.

About PanCAN PurpleStride

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
