Pancreatic cancer doesn't stop or slow down, and neither do we!

Cliff's Crusaders will be walking in PurpleStride 2023 in honor of Clifford R. Forbis. Cliff was a husband, father of 3, grandfather of 4, and friend to many. He loved spending time with his family, photography, camping, reading mysteries, fishing, and music. He could fix any computer problem and always had the answer to whatever question he was asked. He had a great sense of humor and was forever teasing his kids and grandkids. He loved to travel and always planned trips down to the very last detail to ensure that nothing was missed.

In December 2018, Cliff was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. It had already spread beyond his pancreas so surgery was not an option. He went through multiple rounds of chemo and seemed to be making progress, the tumor shrinking by 55%. But then his body stopped being able to tolerate the chemo. After fighting hard for 18 months, we lost him on June 4, 2020. We didn't know about PanCan and all the resources and support they offer until after his battle was lost.

Cliff's wife, sons, daughter, daughter-in-law, granddaughters, friends, and honorary family members walk to put an end to pancreatic cancer. Our goal is to raise awareness and funds to support other families facing pancreatic cancer and to continue the research that will lead to a cure.

Our goal is to help the patients and families currently suffering from this horrible disease, and to find a cure so no one else has to lose someone they love. Currently, the 5-year survival rate is 11%. We have to do better. We can end pancreatic cancer.
