My team and I are taking steps to end pancreatic cancer at PanCAN PurpleStride on Saturday, April 27, 2024. I hope you'll be able to walk with us at North Shore Riverfront Park (or in a city near you) on April 27th! It's free to register for the walk!! 

First and foremost, THANK YOU for supporting my dad and family through his journey with pancreatic cancer. We are so grateful for the incredible progress that he’s made- please keep praying for his continued health and strength.

There’s a lot of work to do, and we need and appreciate your help and support in getting there.

During the past year and a half, we’ve directly witnessed the impact that PanCAN has made on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients: In addition to his surgeon’s work being previously funded by PanCAN, my dad recently attended an event advertised by PanCAN and met an oncologist who was launching a randomized controlled trial of an intensive strength training and exercise program targeted to build muscle mass and improve functional outcomes among oncology patients. They connected after the event, and I’m proud to say that my dad recently completed the trial- he will continue to practice the exercises he learned and was able to see direct improvements on his health and glucose levels.

On December 31, 2023, my dad finally retired after a long and impressive career! It was an honor to celebrate this momentous occasion with his firm and I’ll leave you with some words I wrote for his retirement speech: How one reacts to adversity is really a true test of character- it can bring out the best or worst in people- that same fortitude with which he faced his work challenges got him through his extreme health challenges over the past year and a half- he never wavered and managed to not just survive the difficult times, but thrive during them- all while making it look easy and still putting others first - his resiliency is inspirational and kept the rest of us strong through that time; and he never once complained!
