When Barry was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2018 the five year survival rate was 5%.   Today that number is 13%!

Barry is doing great…his continued success in this fight is due to the new treatment options discovered during research.  Tumor testing found that Barry has the BRCA2 mutation which greatly increased his chances of developing this awful disease, many in our family have since tested positive for this inherited mutation.  His participation, and continued success,  in trials specific to those with PC and BRCA will help those diagnosed today!  

Barry is our miracle.  Surgery, chemo, new medications, stem cell transplants…Barry worked through all the side effects and, today, he is living life and making memories.  He has seen the birth of 2 new grandchildren and is PopPop to 6!  We are again traveling!  He has found new enjoyment in his many hobbies, drumming, model building, etc.  

Pancreatic Cancer…6 years ago we thought he had months…today we see a future living with cancer!  This deadly disease has taken so many, but it can’t take away our determination and our hope!
