Welcome to our team fundraising page!

My father, Jeffrey Caltagirone was a man who made you laugh, loved jokes, and comedies. He enjoyed vacations with his family, traveling all over the United States, Canada and Europe. Many trips involved hiking, kayaking, and sightseeing.
He was an avid runner with his wife, Colleen and loved playing tennis on the weekends. Even after running 6-10 miles on Saturdays and Sundays, he would play two hours of tennis afterwards.
He was the most competitive person there is. He never backed down from a challenge and taught me to fight for what I believed in.
Jeff loved being surrounded by friends and family, while enjoying a glass of wine with them.

In late spring of 2018 my dad, Jeff Caltagirone started losing weight and energy. Unfortunately, doctors did not find a reason for this.
During a family vacation in August 2018, he would sit more throughout hikes and not be up for staying out late. Anyone who knew my dad, saw that summer that something just wasn’t right. Upon arriving home from vacation, that night he got sick. After visiting him in the hospital on my brother's birthday, there was still hope. The next day when he came home, my parents told Tyler and me the grim news.
Jeff was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer at the age of 57. He probably was fighting the disease longer than we knew. After two years and one month exactly after his diagnosis, he lost his battle to this terrible disease. He never gave up and fought for so long. He fought till his last breath. One month before passing away he went zip lining, even though it was so tough for him, he pushed through. He even continued to work up until passing away. That was him, someone who never gave up and always kept moving and staying busy.

My dad will never be forgotten and will always be loved. He is (not was, because he’ll always be in our hearts) an incredible, funny, loving, kind son, brother, husband, father, and friend.

Thank you all for your support!
