Welcome to Our PanCAN PurpleStride Team Page in Memory of Avito! 

Our dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December 2022, and it was a shock to us all. Unsurprisingly, dad faced his diagnosis with faith, hope, and courage. He received treatment with the incredible team at UCLA for 9 months, passing in September 2023.

Our dad had the unwavering support from family, near and far, and his beloved American Martyrs Church community.

No one loved to live life more than Avito. We feel so grateful to have been able to go on his bucket list trip to Portugal in June 2023. We made memories we will cherish forever!

In April 2023, our family walked PanCAN’s Purple Stride together. We loved the uplifting and supportive space it provided for not only dad, but our entire family. We hope everyone who knew and loved Avito will join us for Purple Stride on April 27, 2024.
