As a family, we've known too many people who have lost their lives to pancreatic cancer. We lost our grandfather- nicknamed Bupa- to in January of 2010. Preceding his death by two weeks was that of a close family friends who lost their husband/dad to it, and only six months after losing our great aunt to the same disease. While our personal knowledge and pain of the disease came quickly, our desire to save others from our same pain has endured. Katy discovered PanCan in 2012, and we have been participating in Purple Stride and raising funds for research and a cure ever since. 

As a family, we have personally known too many lives lost to pancreatic cancer- Ralph, Pete, Peggy, Mary Ellen, Donald, Charlene, Steve to name a few- to not support research. 

Did you know that pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers? We've watched the survival rate double in the last 10 years, which is incredible, but not enough!

The 2023 Purple Stride will take place on April 27. Pease consider joining the walk to raise awareness and contribute to research for a cure!
