We lost Charlie to pancreatic cancer in November 2020.  

When Charlie received his diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, it was Stage 4 and had already metastasized to the liver.  At that time, only 20% of pancreatic cancer patients survived the first year after being diagnosed and the five-year survival rate was only 11%.  Charlie achieved the one year milestone, but lost his battle 1-1/2 months later at the age of 56.  

Our team, Charlie's Angels, is participating for the fourth consecutive year in PanCAN’s PurpleStride Houston, a family-friendly run/walk that funds lifechanging programs and services for pancreatic cancer patients and their families.  Our fundraising efforts are making an impact as the 5-year survival rate has increased from 11% to 13% just in the last few years.
