Team O’Day is participating in PanCAN’s PurpleStride with John O’Day leading our way. He has been a fighter and going strong since his diagnosis in October 2014 and this year he is a 9 year survivor walking in his 10th PanCAN 5k! We are so grateful to be able to walk togehter this year to support and celebrate John, as well as PanCAN.

Every dollar you give means more patients can benefit from PanCAN’s free, one-on-one support, personalized information, service and resources that can make a real difference in their lives and their families. Patients go through life-changing treatment that forever changes their day to day lives, including diet and nutrition, and having support to navigate the new territory is extremely important. We personally were thankful for PanCAN's support in helping us to better understand what types of food could help John with weight gain and management of his new diabetes diagnosis after John had most of his pancreas (as well his gallbladder, small intestines and part of his stomach) removed during the Whipple procedure to remove his tumor.  

PanCAN's mission is to take action to improve the lives of everyone impacted by pancreatic cancer by advancing scientific research, building community, sharing knowledge and advocating for patients. With research and advocacy efforts, the survival rate has increased from 6% when John was diagnosed in 2014 to 13% this year!
