The walk in Wisconsin is on Saturday, April 27, 2024

SAVE THE DATE FOR A SUNDAY FUNDAY! We're firing up this year's PurpleStride block party.

As always, meet us at the hoppin' Waverly Court! The party will probably start at 11am on Sunday.

We will be embarking on a walk first (optional), then indulging in a luncheon at 12pm. Please bring an app & alcohol bevy of your choice, main dish & refreshments will be provided. Kids are welcome, although smiles are required to participate in the Piñata bashing.

As we head into our 12th year of fundraising for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, we continue to remember those we have lost and those who are fighting. We'll be hanging photos to recognize these warriors. If you are new to our team, please share a photo of your loved one to honor their strength in battling this awful disease.

As the years pass, time continues to move forward, but the loss of someone you love from a disease without a cure, does not fade. Each year we fight to raise money to find a cure for Pancreatic Cancer and we come closer and closer with the end of each Purple Stride. We have all lost fathers, husbands, mothers, wives, brothers, sisters, uncles, etc. and we need to continue fighting to save the future of people diagnosed with this disease.

When we first started with PurpleStride, we were all still reeling from the loss of my father, Miles, hence the namesake for our team. Our team has grown since 2013, not only to honor my father’s memory, but because other people in our lives have been personally affected by Pancreatic Cancer. They’ve lost their mothers, grandmothers, fathers, and friends. We have all come together to celebrate the lives lost and to fight for a cure to prevent our friends and family from losing their loved ones. WE have become a PurpleStride family.

We come together with a common goal, one to raise hope and share our passion for moving forward towards a cure. We STRIDE to let our children, grandchildren, nephews, etc. have an opportunity to know the people we love and cherish before it's too late. Know it, Fight it, End it.
