Welcome to our team fundraising page!

Progress is slow, but it is marching forward.  It's still important to support this cause, as 5-year survival is on 10%. I hope one day- that because of the efforts of my team- pancreatic cancer survival rate will be 100%.   If I could see it in my lifetime- and know we were a small piece of that puzzle, that would be amazing!

I still miss my Dad terribly. I could have used his weather reports, and his bizarre knowledge of every town in New Jersey. My Dad was an amazing person, who is deeply missed by many people.  I'm sorry if if you missed out on meeting him. He was one of the good ones. His absence is still felt every day.  That is why I still have to Wage Hope, and fight pancreatic cancer... to help save the other Bob Yurcik's out there.  Pancreatic Cancer took my father, and I can never forgive it.

Please join Uncle Bob's Mob in remembrance of my father, and all our loved ones lost to this terrible disease, and all of those currently fighting it.

Pancreatic cancer is often difficult to diagnose. This is because there are no specific, cost-effective screening tests that can easily and reliably find early-stage pancreatic cancer in people who have no symptoms. This means it is often not found until later stages when the cancer can no longer be removed with surgery and has spread from the pancreas to other parts of the body.
Here are some current statistics:

More than 57,600 Americans are expected to be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2020. That is more than 150 people diagnosed every day.

Of those, about 47,050 people will die of pancreatic cancer.

The 5-year survival rate for people with pancreatic cancer is 10%

Pancreatic cancer is the third-leading cause of cancer-related death in the U.S., behind only lung cancer and colorectal cancer, and is expected to become the second-leading cause after lung cancer.
Our team is raising money in support of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network by participating in PurpleStride.
