Our Story: 

My best friend, my grandma, Debbie Cannon "G:, was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer around Thanksgiving of 2023. She fought hard for six months and went to be with the Lord on June 12th, 2023. She was my home, and fighting alongside her was the honor of my lifetime. She smiled and laughed with every doctor, nurse, firefighter, paramedic, and everyone in between.

Through Debbie's fight with pancreatic cancer she taught us grace, strength, and the ability to find joy in the darkest of days. She was, and forever will be, the best of us. She was the very best of us, and there will never be a day that passes that we don't remember and honor her fight. She was not her diagnosis.

We will NEVER stop fighting for her, and pushing back against this disease. If she was here she would want us all to remember that there is hope, we never have to walk alone, and you are not your diagnosis.

Our team wants to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and we need you to do it!

We’re taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.
