Welcome to Our PanCAN PurpleStride TEAM FUHSER Fundraising Page in honor of Mike Fuhs!

First diagnosed at just 4.5 years old, again in 2017, and finally in May of 2022, Mike Fuhs' fight against cancer was one for the books. Leading up to his death on September 17, 2022, Mike didn't once give up. He showed his family and friends just how much he wanted to be here. 

No matter how hard he fought, Mike's cancer was unrelenting and eventually took him away from us and this world at just 62 years old.

Mike's all-time favorite things were Top Gun, bike rides, a cold pepsi, a joy ride in his red Jeep Wrangler, and spending an evening watching his kids play soccer. He was a generous father, brother, uncle, and friend that loved to make you laugh.

Despite his courageous fight, Mike's family witnessed first-hand just how cruel this disease is. The documentation of the last few months of his fight can be found here:

We want to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and we need your help to do that!

Last year, TEAM FUHSER raised $5,001.60 for the 2023 Minnesota PurpleStride.

On April 27, 2024, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will take steps together at nearly 60 PurpleStride events across the nation to honor everyone affected by the disease. It’s an inspirational day to celebrate survivors and honor those we've lost, including Mike.

TEAM FUHSER is comprised of anyone that knew and loved Mike, raising money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients, and gives them free, personalized one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services.
