​Stefan fought a long fight of 7.5 years after his 2016 stage 4 pancreatic cancer diagnosis. He stayed true to himself and never let the pain he was in effect the father and friend he was. He continued to make me and many others laugh up until his very last day with us. He unfortunately ultimately passed away from this horrible disease on October 31, 2023 at 4:30 PM. Since then, I have taken the opportunity to research more about pancreatic cancer during my MSN program. I was shocked to find that over 50% of pancreatic cancer patients are diagnosed at stage 4 and the 5 year survival rate is under 5%. There continues to be a lack of research and availability of early screening methods to catch the cancer earlier and improve survival rates. PanCAN works to fund research that will impact the lives of those diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Please join our team to bring more awareness to this cause and honor my father. Thank you!
