As most of you know, my dad, Jerry, passed away from pancreatic cancer in October 2023. He was only diagnosed in May of 2023, and while he fought as hard as he could, he was never given a fair fighting chance. Pancreatic cancer, also known as the silent killer, typically does not show any symptoms until it has metastasized to stage 4 and become nearly impossible to beat. It is also the cancer that is most resistant to any of the current cancer treatments. In honor of my dad, our family has dedicated itself to raising awareness of pancreatic cancer as well as money to further research treatments and screenings. Please help us in adding hope and taking the devastation out of this diagnosis for all the future families that have to take this unfortunate journey. We’re taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.
