On Saturday, April 27th, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is hosting the 2024 PurpleStride.  This is a great event designed at increasing awareness of pancreatic cancer as well as raising money in support of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network’s mission to advance research, support patients, and create hope and encouragement for those who are fighting pancreatic cancer. I would like to invite you to join me this next PurpleStride to provide support for fighting this disease. Over the past 12 years, our team has raised almost $100,000! We are looking to continue our commitment to help fight this disease once again.  Our team is raising money in support of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network by participating in this year's virtual PurpleStride.

Team Make a Difference is made up of people who love to have fun, laugh out loud, and are committed to ending pancreatic cancer! We understand that every effort we make, big or small, can make a huge impact especially when we work together! We are here to wage hope for all who are affected by this disease!

Starfish Story:

One day a man was walking along the beach when he noticed
a boy picking something up and gently throwing it into the ocean.

Approaching the boy, he asked, "What are you doing?"

The youth replied, Throwing starfish back into the ocean.
"The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I don't throw them back, they'll die."

"Son," the man said, "don't you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish?
You can't possibly make a difference!"

After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish,
and threw it back into the surf. Then, smiling at the man, he said
"I made a difference for that one."
