In January 2022, our lives were turned upside down when we found out my dad (Dave A Davison) had Stage II Pancreatic Cancer. Surgeries, chemo, scans, nutrition, medications- all things we never anticipated and have become part of our lives.

Having watched my grandpa Bud go through PC over 14 years ago, I know there are so many new options for treatment now available. The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) is an integral resource for many patients to find information about early detection, individualized genetic treatment, clinical trials, mental health support and so many other questions you never knew you’d ever need to ask. 

On April 27th, I will be walking for my dad and every other person impacted by this disease. My dad isn’t a fighter or battling some big monster- no one would willingly step into this ring- but he’s championing hope for more research and advancement  in case one day it’s me or one of my siblings or even my kids hearing that same diagnosis.
