Our team is participating in PanCAN’s PurpleStride, a year-round national movement that funds life-changing programs and services for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. 

For our 3rd year fundraising, we remember Pat, our mother, wife and phenomenal friend. She was diagnosed in the summer of 2021, and after enduring rounds of chemotherapy as well as life-saving surgery, she became cancer free on Thanksgiving Day 2021. Despite those treatments, she received the devastating news that her cancer returned, just shy of her 2-year mark. Two very short weeks later, she passed away surrounded by family. 

Unfortunately, pancreatic cancer has an alarmingly high recurrence rate even after surgical resection. Studies show that approximately 80% can have recurrences within 5 years and approximately 60% within 2 years.
