Welcome to our team fundraising page!

This picture taken in 2013 shows Michael with his IV pole which he named Matilda.  This was so while having chemo, if he needed to go for a walk, he was "Waltzing Matilda".  Michael never lost his sense of humor through the long process of chemo and later radiation.

Our team is raising money in support of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network by participating in PurpleStride on April 27,2024 at Bushnell Park in Hartford.

By making a donation to our team, you are supporting efforts to increase survival for this deadly disease through Research, Advocacy and Patient/Caregiver Support. We not only "Wage Hope", but we "Demand Better" than a 5 year survival rate of 12%.

Please join our team or make a donation today and help us reach our fundraising goal!

IN 2019 CONGRESS FINALLY DETERMINED THAT PANCREATIC CANCER WOULD HAVE IT'S OWN BUCKET OF MONEY IN THE DOD PEER REVIEWED MEDICAL RESEARCH PROGRAM (PRMRP).  THIS IS A HIGH RISK HIGH REWARD RESEARCH PROGRAM.  PREVIOUSLY PC HAD BEEN LUMPED IN WITH 11 OTHER CANCERS TO SHARE THE MONEY ALLOCATED. IT WAS A BIG VICTORY FOR PANCAN & PANCREATIC CANCER.  THE FIRST YEAR THIS PROGRAM RECEIVED $6 MILLION. LAST YEAR CONGRESS APPROVED $10 MILLION.  IN 2022 CONGRESS APPROVED $15 MILLION FOR THIS RESEARCH PROGRAM FOR FY23.  IN SEPTEMBER THE FULL HOUSE RESPONDED AND THE FY24 DEFENSE APPROPRIATIONS ACT WAS PASSED BY THE HOUSE WITH $20 MILLION DEDICATED TO PANCREATIC CANCER. THIS IS VICTORY THAT TOOK 4 YEARS.
