Welcome, friends, to our Purple Stride team page. As many of you know, my wife Susie Fisher came to the end of her pancreatic cancer journey on October 1, 2022. Susie knew that she would not survive this challenging disease, just like so many before her that you have known and loved. We can’t change her outcome, but what we CAN do is raise awareness and support to change this script for the future of our children, loved ones, friends we know and have yet to meet. 

Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest forms of cancer, in large part because there are no screening tools, cancers are caught too late to treat well, if at all, and available treatments are limited. It our hope we can put a dent in these facts through more and more research.

There’s a lot we can’t control right now, but this one thing we can control…bringing people together to offer hope for those faced with pancreatic cancer. I’m participating in PanCAN PurpleStride Portland 2024 on Saturday April 27th, a year-round national movement that funds new research and life changing programs and services for pancreatic cancer patients and their families.

Every dollar you give means more patients can benefit from PanCAN’s free, one-on-one support, personalized information, service and resources that can make a real difference in their lives. It also means the additional new and innovative research in detection and treatment will be funded.
