Hey, there!

We’ve created Frank’s Tanks to honor Frank “the Tank” Classens. Frank was a caring, kind, and affectionate man who showed nothing but love and respect to the people he met throughout his life.  Anyone that met him knew how much of a genuine person he was.  A loving husband and caring father, he and his wife Tammy raised three children who live their lives with the values their father instilled in them.  Respect was something that Frank was known for- he would treat you like his own family and take care of you in any time of need.  Ask any family member about his renowned "Frankisms" and they will tell you many stories that will inevitably bring a smile to your face.  An avid Georgia Bulldogs fan, he was always there to watch the Dawgs on Saturdays and cheer them on to victory!

Frank was diagnosed with Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer in the spring of 2018, and passed from this world on October 9th, 2018.  This is a far too common scenario for those afflicted with Pancreatic Cancer.  The five-year survival rate is less than 10% for patients with Pancreatic Cancer, but with your generous participation and support, we can work to change that. While the pain of losing Frank hasn’t lessened, we want to work to ensure no other family has to feel this pain again.

My team and I are taking steps to end pancreatic cancer at PanCAN PurpleStride on Saturday, April 29, 2023.

We want to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and we need your help to do that!

PanCAN PurpleStride is the number one way PanCAN raises money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients, and gives them free, personalized one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services.
