Thank you for supporting our PanCAN PurpleStride fundraiser:
Our mother, Kaye Monfort, at the age of only 65, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic cancer on December 21, 2023, completely out of thin air. With zero prior symptoms, a simple lingering ache in her abdomen in early December led to the discovery. As you can imagine, this has devastated our entire family beyond comprehension. As our mom embarks on her chemotherapy journey and prepares to fight as hard as she can, we are doing everything we can to rally as much support and love for her as possible and have already felt overwhelmed and incredibly grateful by the outpouring of support from so many friends and family members thus far.
As we have all began to educate ourselves on Pancreatic Cancer, it has become increasingly disturbing how merciless (and incredibly underfunded) this particular type of cancer is. As a family, we are hopeful as many of you as are able will join us on our journey to fundraise as much as we can in an effort to advance the research being done particularly on pancreatic cancer.
We have set a fundraising goal of $75,000, but we are far and away hopeful we are able to blow this goal out of the water.
Any amount you are able and willing to donate will make a difference. We are also hoping to see as many of you as possible on April 27, 2024 at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, the PanCAN PurpleStride at the Auraria Campus/Tivoli Quad (Denver).
PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.
Join us in showing not only Kaye, but everyone impacted by pancreatic cancer, now and in the future, that we are fighting for them.

About PanCAN PurpleStride
Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.
On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.
PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
