As most know, I lost my mom in 2018 after a 22 month battle with pancreatic cancer. Doctors did not catch it early enough, so all we could do was undergo recommended treatments and pray. I watched her fight, but at only 63 years old, she was taken from me. Taken far too young from this horrific disease.

     What many may not know, is that less than 2 years later, my dad was also diagnosed with this same, most aggressive cancer. Unlike my mom, he was a candidate for surgery which gave us hope; albeit false hope, which we found out just 13 months later. After failed chemo and radiation treatments, my dad lost his battle with this deadly disease in 2022.

     In honor of my parents and the battles that they lost, I’ll be participating in this event to raise money in support of pancreatic cancer research, in hopes that one day soon they’ll find a cure. This horrible disease is the world’s toughest cancer, with a five-year survival rate of only 13%. If anyone wants to join me in support of our team, I’d be forever grateful...
