Welcome to Our PanCAN PurpleStride Team Fundraising Page!

 After struggling with some severe abdominal, head and back pain, a final episode in November sent Phil to the emergency room. We began various testing and scans, and then, we waited. On January 15th, we received the news that Phil had been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer.  It takes one Google search-maybe 15 seconds-to see how truly terrifying this disease can be.  

As Phil begins his battle-and make no mistake, it will be a battle, we want to do whatever we can to eradicate this disease, and to help get funds  to provide comfort and resources to families like ours that are in this struggle.  This walk and the fundraiser associated with it will be our first step. 

Our team name, 21 Strong, is a nod to Phil and the number he has proudly worn for years on his hockey jersey, and we credit his dear friend, John, for planting that seed as the idea. 

Our team wants to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and we need you to do it!

We’re taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.
