Welcome to our team fundraising page!

As you know, I lost my sister, Marykate Ducharme Sawyer, at age 43, in October 2007 to pancreatic cancer. I know there is not a day that my family does not miss her immensely. Kate had a profound impact on our lives with her generous spirit, her HUGE heart, her love for her two children, her amazing teaching skills, her quick wit, and her fantastic sense of humor.

PurpleStride is the annual fundraising event, a 2-mile family-friendly walk, for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.  The 2024 PurpleStride in Wisconsin will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Waukesha County Technical College in Pewaukee, WI.    I would love to add more members to Team MK, so if you would like to take part, please contact me.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
